The Marsiling Constituency Office issued an apology when it was discovered that a Bazar Raya Utara vendor in Woodlands was selling pork.
The constituency office stated in a Facebook post on Monday (March 27) that the bazaar organizers have since "engaged with the operator" to take "immediate corrective measures" to stop the sale of pork on the premises.
They said that they will work to prevent a similar scenario from occurring in the future.
According to a report by Berita Harian, the bazaar's organizing chairman, Azriman Mansor, stated that over 80 percent of the food stalls provide halal food and beverages.
Bazar Raya Utara was inaugurated outside of Causeway Point last Saturday. Open through April 19, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
