Choa Chu Kang residents received a very special breakfast delivery on Sunday, September 18th, in the shape of an Old Chang Kee food truck.
The Tiktok user Jayrzzz.cyril described how his sister woke him up that morning and he thought it was "an emergency."
To be fair, a sense of urgency was required. After all, you sleep, you lose.
Jayrzzz, who according to his comments resides on Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4, was startled to discover an Old Chang Kee food truck parked directly below their HDB.
After going downstairs for a closer look, he quickly realized that they were handing away free OCK snacks.
He wrote, "It turns out I'm receiving a free breakfast."
Who does not enjoy free food?
Residents were observed patiently waiting in line despite the inclement weather that morning.
In the video, Choa Chu Kang MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim is seen delivering citizens their things at the front of the line.
"Thank you, MP Zhulkarnain," wrote an appreciative Jayrzzz.
And his wealth? He wrote, "Got myself a curry puff, a chicken nugget, and hotdogs."
Call us suaku (as if we were country bumpkins), but we were years old when we discovered that Old Chang Kee had a food truck and that it is named O' My Darling. Corny, yet adorable.
