Career Highlights
Championing Singapore's arts, culture, and sports
In 2014, I was the head of the SG50 Programme Office, coordinating our nation's momentous golden jubilee. In 2015, I successfully led the bid for Singapore Botanic Gardens to be recognised as Singapore's first UNESCO World Heritage site. I was also the Chairman of the Steering Committee for the 2015 SEA games.
Covid Coordinator
I was co-chair of the Multi-Ministry Task Force, which ran from Jan 2020 to Feb 2023. My efforts helped coordinate a whole-of-government approach to mitigating the casualties of Covid, and also SIngapore's subsequent recovery out of the pandemic.
I even helped to tank the group project when my groupmates Ong Ye Kung and Gan Kim Yong arrowed me.
Spokesperson for GST Hike
I am not afraid to make difficult decisions for the greater good, because I keep the greater picture in mind. At the same time, I demonstrate empathy and communication skills through numerous explanations to convince the populace. I am so empathetic that I even cried in Parliament once.
Interviewer Notes: Candidate is tentatively suited to be Prime Minister. Final decision shall be left to the people in the upcoming General Elections.
