Influencer lying that 5-day holiday in Singapore costs $9,000?!

On 24 Jul, TikToker @tourdebree made a video explaining that she spent over $9,000 on her 5-day holiday in Singapore. A majority of her spending came from accommodation ($6,000), food ($1,500), and transport ($800).

However, most of these are lies, as sharp-eyed netizens have pointed out.

Hotel - RWS or Grand Hyatt?

TikToker @tourdebreefirst posted a picture of Resorts World Sentosa's lobby, and claimed her bill was $1,200 per night which was "on the cheaper side" because AirBnB is illegal in Singapore.

But is this where she really stayed?

Many pointed out that her room view and TV display indicates she stayed at the Grand Hyatt, where even a suite will cost only $500-700 per night.

Food - everyday MBS buffet?

TikToker @tourdebree claims that she spent $1,500 on food. As an example, she posted a picture of calamari and tuna salad, which she claims to be $85. She also posted pictures of fresh oysters.

Personally, we find it a waste that she doesn't want to try Singapore's local food. At least try some salted egg sotong rather than calamari lah. Regardless, we're not sure how she can spend $1,500 on food.

Transport - she hire limousine or what?

She claimed to have spent $800 on transport, including a one way $90 ride from the airport. Again, not sure how, since even a private 7-seater MaxiCab is $65.

Conclusion

By now, you may be bursting with suggestions and advice for this influencer to enjoy Singapore better.

But she is not interested in what you have to say:

So perhaps it is best to just be grateful that this clueless woman is contributing to Singapore's economy:
