PM Lee on leave until 31 December

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will go on leave from December 19 to December 31, the office said on Sunday (Dec 18).

Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, will serve as acting Prime Minister during his absence.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Mr Lee said: "I'll be on leave till the end of the year. Will update should I come across anything interesting. Meanwhile, enjoy the festive season with your friends and family, and please stay safe and healthy while celebrating."

Mr. Lee's post was accompanied with a photograph of Brussels' Grand-Place.

Earlier this week, the Prime Minister made an official trip to Kiel, Germany, to officiate the launch of two Republic of Singapore Navy submarines.

He also attended a special conference commemorating 45 years of diplomatic relations between the European Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations on Wednesday in Brussels.
