An anonymous member of the public complained about the samsui woman mural looking like a prostitute, prompting URA to take it down. URA initially cited the mural as "not aligned with Singapore's anti-smoking policy stance".

Remember Crimewatch's iconic "you're nothing but a prostitute" scene? One enterprising netizen went the extra mile to combine the mural into that video.
URA, have some backbone lah
Some netizens (including ourselves) tried to explain URA's thinking behind the entire saga.
All in all, URA's quick U-turn seems to show that their initial reaction to the complaint was a knee-jerk reaction. Hopefully they do better in the future.
