The school has penalized a St Andrew's Secondary School student seen in a viral video confronting a member of the school's staff.
"We take a serious view of disrespectful behavior toward staff, and the student has been punished," the school stated in a Wednesday statement (Aug 24)."
"We have also reached out to the student's parents, with whom we will work closely to advise and assist him."
Four clips were stitched together to create a 56-second online video of the kid approaching a man in what seemed to be a classroom, as other students watched.
The video begins with a member of staff pointing and instructing the student not to scold him.
The student removed his mask and responded, "What are you going to do?"
Before the instructor yelled at the student, "Don't use that four-letter word on me!" they both repeated themselves.
The teenager pointed at the teacher and said, "Get a bloody life first," before leaving the classroom.
In the background, one or more individuals could be heard yelling "fight, fight."
The subsequent film showed the student pointing at the faculty member with his hand on the forearm of the faculty member. The employee then yelled at the student to not touch him.
The student then warned him to mind his language and stated, "I will end your life right now, man."
When the staff member reminded the student not to touch him again, the student said, "You shut your mouth, b***h."
A third man was seen in the video attempting to separate the two individuals.
It is unknown when the film, which has over 84,000 Facebook views and over 2,000 Instagram likes, was shot.
