SIA blacklists passenger from all its flight due to unruly behaviour

The disruptive Singapore Airlines (SIA) passenger who was escorted off the aircraft at Changi Airport after threatening the cabin crew in a viral video has been blacklisted after assaulting a crew member on a connecting flight.

After the initial incident on November 8, the passenger was warned verbally.

Since then, the video of the incident has received over three million views on TikTok.

The individual appeared calm and agreed to behave for connecting flight SQ352, which was set to travel from Singapore to Copenhagen last Wednesday (Nov 9), according to a statement released by the airline on Monday (Nov 14), as reported by The Straits Times.

However, once he got on board, he continued his disruptive behavior.

"In one occasion, the passenger got hostile and struck a member of the cabin crew," the SIA official stated. However, our cabin crew ultimately succeeded in calming the passenger.

According to SIA, the cabin staff member who was afterwards attacked got medical care and did not incur major injuries.

The national carrier will continue to give the required assistance to the crewmember, but has chosen to bar the passenger from all SIA flights.

The statement continued, "Singapore Airlines is committed to the health of its employees and customers." We will take immediate action against any passenger who poses a threat to the safety of our employees or customers."
