Singapore is scheduled to remove almost all virus protection measures on Tuesday as part of its effort to revert to pre-Covid living conditions, officials revealed Friday.
There will be no more social segregation or restrictions on the size of social gatherings.

"For us, things continue to improve. Our social resilience is robust, and we are presently in a rather secure situation. As a result, we can afford to take more efforts to restore pre-Covid-19 normality," stated Singapore's health minister, Ong Ye Kung.
"However, considering the risk on the horizon, we should delay declaring a Freedom Day until the virus has been declared eradicated." Instead of that, we will withdraw but not fully eliminate our measures," he continued.
From April 26, social gatherings will no longer be limited to ten people, all workers will be able to return to their jobs, and the majority of bigger event facilities will be able to be utilized to capacity. Contact tracing will also be significantly reduced.
Individuals will not be required to maintain a one-meter separation
Masks will be essential in almost all indoor environments. Individuals in their places of employment will be exempt if they are not physically interacting with others and are not in customer-facing locations.
"Today's news is a defining moment in our path. I'd want to advise everyone to maintain vigilance, as circumstances can change rapidly," stated Minister of Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong.
"The administration will also continue to constantly watch both the domestic and international situation in order to respond swiftly to any developments," he said.
Separate laws for unvaccinated persons will mainly be repealed, with certain exceptions.
Those who are not vaccinated will still be denied access to restaurants and events having a capacity of more than 500 persons. They are also prohibited from visiting nightlife venues that feature dancing.
However, food and beverage establishments would not be compelled to verify clients' vaccination status, the health ministry stated in a news statement.
Unvaccinated individuals are currently prohibited from entering malls, attractions, and even their employment.
