On the evening of November 27, two police officers, Ibnu Musalli and Miqdad Fisall, received a request for assistance regarding a missing woman.
The individual who called for help was a relative of the missing woman.
According to the family, the woman had been unreachable for the last four days and her cell phone appeared to be turned off.
Ibnu stated, "He (the relative) even went to her place to check on her but received no response."
The policemen went to the woman's Clementi flat and questioned her neighbors, who confirmed that they had not seen her for three or four days.
They also saw that several delivery packages had been placed outside her residence.
According to Ibnu, based on their "instincts and expertise," they believe the woman may still be in her house. However, she may be incapable of responding due to her condition.
Miqdad said, "While speaking with the neighbors, we heard faint knocking sounds from from the opposite side of the wall."
With the assistance of a security guard, the officers gained entrance to the woman's apartment quickly.
As they entered the house, the banging increased louder and appeared to originate from the bathroom.
Then, Miqdad exclaimed: "We are the police, Miss! We are here to assist you!"
Thankfully, they heard a reply.
As it turns out, the woman was unable to escape the toilet because the door handle had become off.
Fortunately, they were able to force open the door and let her escape.
She informed the police officer that she had been locked in the toilet for four days after getting clothed.
As she had no means of contact or escape, she feverishly banged on the walls in the hopes that someone would come to her assistance.
According to Miqdad, the woman had no obvious injuries and was treated by paramedics.
"I recall the tears of relief she shed when we rescued her. Undoubtedly, the occurrence is fascinating. It taught me what it's like to offer people hope "he remarked.
