"Where to?" S'pore's passport is currently the second most powerful in the world, after Japan's



Singaporeans now own the world's second-most-powerful passport.


This is according to a worldwide index study issued by Henley & Partners on July 19, 2022, which rates passports based on the number of countries visa-free travel is permitted to.


Residents of Singapore may travel visa-free to 192 places with their passport.


The passports of South Korea and Singapore are tied for second place.


Japan now has the world's most powerful passport, allowing its citizens visa-free access to 193 countries.


Overtaken by Japan


In the previous year's report, Singapore and Japan tied for first position.


At that time, citizens of both nations may visit 192 places without a visa.


Germany and Spain rank third in the most recent edition with visa-free access to 190 places.


Finland, Italy, and Luxembourg are tied for fourth with access to 189 destinations.


According to the 2022 study, Malaysians have the thirteenth most powerful passport in the world, with visa-free access to 179 countries.
