Woman finds faeces on bedsheet and towel at a Singapore hotel

A Singaporean TikTok user captured her terrible encounter with a hotel bedsheet that seemed to be soiled with faeces.

In a video uploaded to TikTok on March 1, video editor and voice actor Lili Ong, also known as omglili, described booking a "premier double room" at the M Hotel Singapore on Anson Road.

The 23-year-old freelancer reportedly paid $190 to book the room from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. In anticipation of filming a hotel review, she originally expressed appreciation with the room's facilities and service.

Upon discovering two spots on the bedsheet, the situation deteriorated drastically. She had lain on the sheet for several hours. she decided to go beneath the bedsheet since she was cold.

But, she detected feces odor and was shocked to find feces marks on the bedsheet. She subsequently spotted a second little light brown stain on a hotel room towel.

Refused hotel's refund offer

After seeing the feces marks, Ong took a shower, checked out of the hotel, and took another bath when she returned home.

The hotel management gave her a refund and a complimentary one-night stay in response to her concerns. She refused the offer.

According to a statement given to The New Paper, the hotel is investigating the incident but cannot pinpoint its cause. Moreover, the hotel guarantees that additional action will be taken if necessary.

About 6.30 p.m., the on-duty manager and housekeeper responded to Ong's complaint.

"We took prompt action to replace the sheets and towel in the room. Also, we conducted an inquiry, which indicated that at around 3.10 p.m., our room attendant entered the room with a fresh set of linens and left with the old set "said the statement.

Netizens responded quickly to Ong's TikTok video, with some wondering if she had intentionally planted the stains on the bedsheet.
